CHE 211 - Organic Chemistry I ▲ = Fulfills a General Education Requirement This course is the first half of a two-semester course sequence designed primarily for Science and Engineering Students. CHE 211 is a study of the principal classes of aliphatic and aromatic compounds, types of reactions and reaction mechanisms, molecular orbital approach to bonding, and stereochemistry. Prerequisite: CHE 112 or approval of Division. Co-requisite: CHEL 211 . 3 lecture and 6 laboratory hours per week. 5 credit hours
