ECO 201 - Principles of Economics I ▲ = Fulfills a General Education Requirement This is a principles of macroeconomics course, covering the determination of national income and output, the economic problems of GDP growth, unemployment, price instability, and national deficits & debt. Other topics include aggregate demand and aggregate supply, other aggregate sectors of the economy, money, banking, the financial system, fiscal and monetary policies. Students will be able to evaluate and measure the macroeconomic health of the nation in relation to unemployment, inflation, and other macroeconomic indicators and in the context of a global economy. Prerequisite(s): ENG 097 , if required, and MAT 022 3 lecture hours per week 3 credit hours
