This course introduces the student to health data structure, content, and standards. The collection and maintenance of health data; policies and procedures; verification and currency of data; integrity of data and data sources for patient care, management, billing, and registries as well as data reporting to meet organizational needs will be discussed. 3 lecture hours per week 3 credit hours
