CHE 211 - Organic Chemistry I ▲ = Fulfills a General Education Requirement This course is the first half of a two-semester course sequence designed primarily for Science and Engineering Students. CHE 211 is a study of the principal classes of aliphatic and aromatic compounds, types of reactions and reaction mechanisms, molecular orbital approach to bonding, and stereochemistry. This course includes a laboratory section that has experiments and activities specifically designed to facilitate knowledge acquisition of course subject matter. Students must register for a lab component of this course. Prerequisite(s): CHE 112 , or approval of Division 3 lecture and 4 laboratory hours per week 5 credit hours
