EET 213 - Semiconductor Devices and Circuits This is a study of solid state devices such as diodes, bipolar junction transistors, field effect transistors, unijunction transistors, silicon controlled rectifiers, and other four-layer devices and their application in basic circuits. Multistage amplifiers, differential amplifiers, operational amplifiers, rectifiers, regulators, and control circuits are also studied. This course includes a laboratory section that has experiments and activities specifically designed to facilitate knowledge acquisition of course subject matter. In the laboratory, the student is required to analyze, synthesize, test, troubleshoot and evaluate circuits and devices, and become proficient in the use of test equipment and development of measurement techniques. Students must register for a lab component of this course. Prerequisite(s): EET 102 4 lecture and 3 laboratory hours per week 5 credit hours
