MET 112 - Mechanics-Statics This course is a study of the basic principles of static equilibrium of forces, including the use of free-body diagrams, the location of centroids, and the calculation of moment of inertia. Practical problems involving simple machines, trusses, and frames are analyzed. Calculations use units from both the English Gravitational System and the International System (Metric). Prerequisite(s): MAT 143 or MAT 155 3 lecture hours per week 3 credit hours
