PHY 201 - Electricity and Magnetism ▲ = Fulfills a General Education Requirement This physics course is the second part of a calculus-based, multi-semester sequence. The course covers the basic concepts of electrostatics, electric and magnetic fields, electromagnetism, electric and magnetic circuits, induced electromotive forces, fundamental electrical measurements, circuits containing inductance and capacitance, and basic electronics. This course includes a laboratory section that has experiments and activities specifically designed to facilitate knowledge acquisition of course subject matter. Prerequisite(s): MAT 172 Co-requisite(s): PHYL 201 3 lecture hours per week 3 credit hours
