PSY 205 - Child Psychology

This course is a study of childhood development and psychology. Particular focus will be on physical, cognitive, and socioemotional development from the prenatal period to preadolescence. The focus of this course is on the transitions occurring within these major domain areas and on developmentally relevant segments such as the role of genetics, family and care-giving adults, culture, and individual forces in the optimal growth and development of the child.
Prerequisite: PSY 101.
