AUT 204 - Automotive Drivetrains This course covers the drivetrain and the components common in today’s automobile. Covered topics include front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, four-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive transmissions systems. The power delivery to the wheels through the clutch, torque converter, transmission, differential and drive shafts are part of this course. Theory and common maintenance procedures will be covered. Constant-velocity axles and driveshaft overhaul will be covered. Included will be a section on diagnostics, noise, and vibration causes and repairs. Prerequisite: AUT 100 and AUT 121 Co-requisite: AUTL 204 . 3 lecture and 3 laboratory hours per week 4 credit hours
