EMT 106 - Emergency Medical Technician


This course meets the requirements of the National Highway and Transportation Safety Administration’s Emergency Medical Technician National Educational Standards. The course is designed to instruct a student to the level of Emergency Medical Technician. The EMT serves as a vital link in the chain of the healthcare team. The student will learn all skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support (BLS) level with an ambulance or other specialized service. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be eligible to take the state designated certification exam, which is required to obtain an EMT provider card issued by the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services - OEMS.
Prerequisite(s): EMT 100 , or proof of Professional level CPR
