MAT 021 - Introduction to Elementary Algebra II for Advanced Math Students This course is a continuation of MAT 019 to support accelerated completion of developmental requirements for STEM majors and those following a similar curriculum path. Topics include systems of linear equations, exponents, scientific notation, polynomials, factoring of trinomials, radicals, rational expressions, quadratics and applications in verbal problems. Applications through problem-solving are integrated into all course topics. Technology is used to facilitate independent, self-paced instruction. Prerequisite(s): MAT 019 4 lecture hours per week 4 institutional credit hours
