EET 204 - Electromechanical Devices and Systems/Robotics

This course provides an analysis, synthesis, and integration of systems encompassing electromechanical, electronic, electrical, and mechanical subsystems. Actuators, motors, generators, sensors, transducers, tachometers, amplifiers, signal conditioners, and displays are studied. Analog, digital, and hybrid (analog/digital) control systems, instrumentation and measurement techniques are also studied. Further study of the integration of automatic control systems and computers involve programmable controllers, robotics, and automated manufacturing systems. This course includes a laboratory section that has experiments and activities specifically designed to facilitated knowledge acquisition of course subject matter. In the laboratory, the student performs experiments on these systems and subsystems with emphasis on diagnostic testing, interfacing, measurement, troubleshooting, calibration, programming, and servicing techniques.
